My name is Aislinn Dunne, and I am a marine scientist studying habitat connectivity and ecosystem function.

My research currently focuses on how fish and water movement transport organic material between coral reefs and vegetated habitats like seagrass, seaweeds, and mangroves. I am motivated to understand the connections between marine habitats in order to better manage and conserve them.

I graduated with a PhD from Prof. Burton Jones’ Integrated Ocean Processes Lab and Prof. Michael Berumen’s Reef Ecology Lab in the Red Sea Research Center at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. In addition to research, I have a strong interest in science education and outreach. Please feel free to browse this website or reach out if you would like to learn more!
